Ah, the kind folks at the securities board just called. They can't get the nifty new web-based system that I was required to pay $150 for the priviledge of using to work properly, so I need to send them a hardcopy. Also, they have no record of my having passed the Series 65. I told her all I had was the testing center printout, but she assured me that a photocopy of that would be sufficient, and that they see them all the time. Appearantly the web-based system for determining successful test passers has never worked very well.
Connecting databases to web front-ends isn't hard. Why is done so badly so often?
