I got fired from the University of Texas's ITS department (bureauPolitik indeed) yesterday. I'll happily talk about it and all of my theories and revelations on the subject, but I'll keep those discussions non-LJ. I have no desire to muddy others' friends' pages. If anyone reading this doesn't have my email, it's mike familiar-symbol omgwerock dot com. (I'm less worried about spam than I am my friend's server.)
Fortunately, I have a decent savings, and no complaint with temp work, so I'm fine for the foreseeable future.
Now that 2005 has basically blown my life-as-it-existed apart, I really don't know what comes next. I can do almost anything. That's liberating and baffling at the same time.
If I end up before a firing squad in Bolivia, mourn, but don't be too terribly surprised.
